The Sacred Heart School curriculum for Preschool and Elementary is aligned with the standards set by the Department of Education. Its content has been carefully designed to ensure full compliance with national requirements while also providing our students with a competitive edge. This is achieved by benchmarking against both local and international school standards, incorporating global learning trends, and conducting annual curriculum articulation to maintain relevance and rigor.

Diagram of skill areas in education: literacy skills (English, Filipino, Mandarin), numeracy; social science and sibika; computer literacy; values education; gross and fine motor skills; creative arts.

Literacy Skills: We help children develop strong reading, writing, and speaking skills in English, Filipino, and Mandarin. Through stories, songs, and conversations, they learn to communicate clearly and confidently in everyday situations.

Numeracy: Children build a solid understanding of numbers, patterns, and problem-solving through hands-on activities and real-life examples. We make math fun, practical, and easy to understand.

Social Science and Sibika: We introduce kids to their community, culture, and the world around them. They learn about Filipino heritage, basic geography, and how people live and work together all in ways that make sense at their age.

Computer Literacy: Children explore basic technology skills like using a mouse, keyboard, and simple programs. We also teach safe and responsible digital habits to help them navigate the tech world confidently.

Values Education: We focus on teaching values like respect, honesty, and empathy through stories, group activities, and everyday classroom experiences. Our goal is to help children grow into kind and responsible individuals.

Gross and Fine Motor: Through active play, art, and hands-on tasks, we support children’s physical development. Whether it’s running, jumping, cutting, or drawing — these skills help them gain strength, control, and confidence.

Creative Arts: Through active play, art, and hands-on tasks, we support children’s physical development. Whether it’s running, jumping, cutting, or drawing — these skills help them gain strength, control, and confidence.
